The programming language BASIC was one of these crazy languages, which all small computers had those days. Though everybody was crying about how bad the language was (in its structure) - it fills its main purpose: a programming language for the beginners.
The RC2014 has an implementation of the NASCOM-BASIC, which is available in source and can be adapted. I only needs about 8K and offers a basic set of known BASIC commands. If you have 64 K of RAM, you may get a free space for BASIC program of about 56 K, which is pretty good.
The only problem I have with its implementation - you have no access to the CF-module, so storing your data or programs is not very comfortable.
